Construction has started on Hwy 6 in Remer. Traffic is currently one lane in each direction on gravel on Hwy 6/Hwy200/Main Street and will remain that way until Friday, June 29. On June 29, westbound traffic will remain on Hwy 6/Hwy 200/Main Street and eastbound traffic will be directed on a local street detour on Hwy 6/Park Avenue to Mill Street to Forestry Avenue.
Expect delays when traveling in the Remer area due to the construction impacts. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead when traveling and have patience especially in work zones.

Reconstruct Hwy 6 between Etna Ave. and 3rd Ave E., includes reconfigured design:
One-lane in each direction, a center turn-lane, side street parking on both sides and a grass boulevard along the sidewalk
Resurface (asphalt) from Hwy 6 to Etna Ave and 3rd Ave to Hwy 200
Improve or repair pedestrian sidewalks and road approaches
Update overhead street lighting
Replace or repair storm sewer, curb, gutter and ditch drainage
