About this project

Crews replaced the signal systems at the interchange of Hwy 169 and Betty Crocker Dr. on the border of Plymouth, St. Louis Park and Golden Valley. The project included a new sidewalk along the north side of Betty Crocker Dr. between the east ramp at Hwy 169 and Ford Rd., west of Hwy 169. The new accessible sidewalk replaced one lane of westbound traffic of the Betty Crocker Dr. bridge crossing Hwy 169.

The project also eliminated the yield/free right turn lane from the ramp/loops at both signals at Hwy 169 and Betty Crocker Dr. and new guardrail was installed as part of the project.

Summary of work

• Replaced aging signal systems at the interchange of Hwy 169 and Betty Crocker Dr.
• Built an ADA-compliant sidewalk/bike lane on the north side of Betty Crocker Dr.
• Eliminated the yield/free right turn lane from the ramp/loops at both signals at Hwy 169 and Betty Crocker Dr.
