Public open house scheduled Nov. 18 for Hwy 61 bridge project in Red Wing
RED WING, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, in Red Wing to hear about plans for the replacement of the Hwy 61 bridge over Withers Harbor Drive in Red Wing.
During the public open house, project partners and MnDOT staff will share updates about design improvements, construction staging, aesthetics and trail amenities.

Location: Red Wing Public Library – The Foot Room, 225 East Ave., Red Wing
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. This project will replace the Hwy 61 bridge over Withers Harbor Drive and Hay Creek in Red Wing. MnDOT will also reconstruct the approaches to the bridge from Bench Street to Withers Harbor Drive and make other road improvements. Construction will begin in spring 2023 and be complete in fall 2024.
