MnDOT to host virtual public meeting for 2023 project on Hwy 34 from CR 29 to west of Osage

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 5:30 p.m., to learn more about the 2023 resurfacing project on Highway 34 from County Road 29 to west of Osage. A formal presentation by MnDOT will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by time for questions.

The reconstruction project on Highway 34 is currently scheduled for construction in 2023, and will address pavement concerns, selective tree logging in the right of way, culvert replacements and a bridge replacement at the Shell River.

To learn more about the project and for a link to the virtual meeting on Jan. 12, visit mndot.gov/d4/projects/hwy34. Those without internet access can call 1-855-282-6330 to join the meeting. Meeting access code is 2480 993 2179. For those unable to attend the meeting, a recording of the presentation will be posted to the MnDOT project webpage, with an opportunity to submit questions or comments online.
