Region 7W seeks feedback from transportation riders and service providers in Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright counties
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Travelers who depend on transportation services in the Region 7W area of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright counties, are invited to take an online rider survey. Service providers in the four-county area are also invited to complete a transportation resources survey. Both surveys are open through Jan. 31, 2022 at mndot.gov/d3/region7w.
Rider Survey: Riders who use multiple types of transportation, such as private, agency or local bus/van services, volunteer drivers, family/friend/caregiver drivers, and any type of taxi service, are asked how they get around and when those services are used.
Transportation Resources Survey: Agencies or organizations that provide any form of client or public-facing transportation resources in the region are asked for current information on their services.
Input from both travelers and providers will be valuable as planners evaluate future transportation needs.
“Your feedback will be valuable in planning future rider services and assisting MnDOT, Region 7W and the St. Cloud APO, in updating the five-year Local Human Transit Coordination Plan for central Minnesota in 2022,” said Tom Cruikshank, MnDOT District 3 Transportation Planner, who is leading the plan revision.
The Local Human Service Transit Coordination Plan identifies strategies and potential projects to coordinate transit services for the target populations of elderly, disabled and low-income.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. The survey is also available in Spanish and Somali. If you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need the online survey in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to ADArequest.firstname.lastname@example.org or call 651-366-4720.
