Construction open house scheduled March 22 for Hwy 14 New Ulm to Nicollet four-lane expansion project
MANKATO, Minn. – The public and local emergency services are invited to attend an in-person open house to learn about the 2022-2023 Hwy 14 New Ulm to Nicollet four-lane expansion project. The open house will be held on Tuesday, March 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Courtland Community Center (300 Railroad Street). No formal presentation is planned, and attendees are welcome to arrive anytime.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will be reconstructing Hwy 14 from New Ulm to Nicollet between 2022-2023 to improve safety and travel for this important freight and trade corridor. Overall, the project is expanding 12.5 miles of Hwy 14 from two lanes to four lanes between New Ulm and Nicollet to complete a continuous four-lane road between New Ulm and Rochester.
Speakers from MnDOT and the prime contractor, Hoffman Construction, will be in attendance to allow participants to learn more about the project, view the roadway layout and ask questions. Please join us to understand how you can be prepared and plan for traffic impacts and closures. Those unable to attend the open house can visit the project website for more information and staff contacts.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at email@example.com or call 651-366-4720.
Stay connected with the project by signing up for email or text message updates through the project website. Information will also be shared on the MnDOT | South Central Minnesota Facebook group and the MnDOT District 7 Twitter account.
