Construction begins Monday, March 28 on Hwy 10 in Anoka
Traffic restricted to a single lane until November
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Reconstruction and improvements on Hwy 10 in Anoka will begin Monday, March 28. Construction crews will begin setting up traffic control to restrict traffic to a single lane in each direction on Hwy 10 between Thurston Avenue and Hwy 47 (Ferry Street); the lane closure will be extended further east to 7th Avenue beginning in early April. Motorists will then encounter single lane traffic through the work zone until November.
When possible, motorists should consider a different highway route that doesn’t go through Anoka and help keep the community safe by using posted detour routes and avoid cutting through neighborhoods.
MnDOT and the city are working together to repair aging roads and bridges and build new interchanges on the highway between Thurston Avenue and 7th Avenue in Anoka. The rebuilt road will improve traffic flow, decrease congestion and increase safety along and across Hwy 10.
Construction is expected to be complete by the spring of 2024.
