Upcoming virtual public meetings to outline final year of I-94 & I-35E construction in St. Paul

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — MnDOT is hosting a virtual public meeting later this month to outline plans for the second year of construction on the I-94 & I-35E project in St. Paul. This year’s work is on I-94 between Marion Street and Mounds Boulevard and on I-35E between I-94 and University Avenue. Wok is currently scheduled to begin in mid-April. The public is invited to participate to find out how this year’s construction will impact traffic and to learn ways to stay informed and plan for changes.

Presentation videos will also be available in accessible format on the website after the meetings.

A two-year project to repair and resurface I-94 between Western Ave. and Mounds Blvd. and I-35E between I-94 and University Ave. in St. Paul began in the summer of 2021. Project work also includes resurfacing ramps and frontage roads along I-94, repairing drainage and upgrading storm sewers and bridge rehabilitation work as well as repairing sidewalks and upgrading pedestrian sidewalks and approaches to Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards. The project is expected to be completed in the fall 2022.
