Public meeting set to discuss alternatives for Fifth Avenue West bridge in Duluth
Duluth, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting Tuesday, May 24, to discuss possible alternatives for the Fifth Avenue West bridge in Duluth. For those who cannot attend the in-person public meeting, materials will be posted to the project webpage after the meeting.
The in-person public meeting will be held May 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Duluth Public Library’s Green Room, 520 W. Superior St., Duluth. The closest entrance is from Michigan Street on the east side of the building
The goal of the 5th Avenue West bridge study, which includes the 5th Avenue West bridge and the I-35 corridor surrounding it, is to kick off the MnDOT scoping process for a future bridge project. The options being explored and presented on May 24 come from a survey the public was asked to participate in earlier this year.
More information on the project can be found on the Fifth Avenue Bridge project webpage .
