Highway 3/County Road 66 intersection in Empire Township, Farmington closing for two months beginning July 5
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on Highway 3 starting Tuesday, July 5 as crews begin constructing a new roundabout at County Road 66/Vermilion River Trail in Farmington/Empire Township.
Highway 3 between 205th Street and 209th Street will close from 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 5 to early September, weather permitting.
All businesses and residences will be accessible during the closure. However, motorists should follow the signed detours:
- Highway 3 detour both directions: County Road 64/195th Street to County Road 31/Pilot Knob Road and County Road 50
- County Road 66 detour from the north: County Road 46/160th Street to County Road 81/Clayton Avenue
- County Road 66 detour from the south: Hwy 50, County Road 79/Blaine Avenue
Work along Highway 3 this summer will consist of constructing a roundabout at County Road 66/Vermillion River Trail, constructing a trail on Highway 3 and County Road 66/Vermillion River Trail, and adding landscaping near the roundabout.
