MnDOT to begin removing Hwy 11 temporary grade raises

DULUTH, Minn. – MnDOT will begin removing the temporary, emergency grade raises on Hwy 11 near Rainy Lake as soon as the end of the week of July 5 or the beginning of the week of July 11. Work will begin near Tilson’s Bay and move to the east. It is expected to take several weeks to remove all of the grade raises. Signal systems will remain in operation until the grade raises are removed.

Motorists should expect flagging operations when work is occurring. The public is urged to use caution and have patience in work zones.
