Wadena community invited to participate in future Hwy 10 project

Online survey and meet-and-greet set for Aug. 25

BAXTER, Minn. – Travelers who drive, ride, walk or do business on Highway 10 in the Wadena area are invited to take the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s survey and/or visit with the project team at a meet-and-greet on Thursday, Aug. 25, for a future transportation project.

Public participation is needed to assist in planning the future needs of Highway 10. The study is being conducted in collaboration with the City of Wadena.

  • The proposed project improves six miles of Highway 10 from east of Wadena at 620th Avenue, Otter Tail County, to west of Wadena at Oink Joint Road/140th Street, Wadena County.
  • MnDOT is looking at potential environmental impacts and creating a draft geometric layout.

The survey will be available from Thursday, July 28, through Saturday, Sept. 10, and can be found on the project webpage: www.mndot.gov/d3/projects/wadena/h10/.
The public is invited to learn about plans for the Highway 10 project and speak with MnDOT staff. The meet-and-greet will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Maslowski Wellness & Research Center, 17 Fifth St. SW in Wadena. Guests can come and go as they please as there will not be a formal presentation.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
