Steele County Road 2 and Dodge County Road 34 (Old Hwy 14) connected and open to traffic

CLAREMONT, Minn. – The stretches of old Highway 14 in Steele and Dodge counties have been connected and opened to traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The roads are now named Steele County Road 2 and Dodge County 34.

This is part of the work that is wrapping up the Highway 14 expansion project between Dodge Center and Owatonna that opened a new four-lane stretch of the highway in November 2021. The old Hwy 14 is now a county road connects to Steele County Road 180 on the west side and to Highway 56 on the east side in Dodge County.
