Road construction on Hwy 2 in Fosston: Traffic switch begins Aug. 3
Motorists will detour for business access on Airport Road
Bemidji, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 2 from Erskine to Fosston can expect a traffic switch beginning August 3. Traffic will switch to the eastbound lanes on the west side of Fosston and return to head to head traffic in the westbound lanes near Airport Road. Motorists needing to access Airport Road from Highway 2 will utilize Omland Avenue to Airport Road.
During the project, crews will be replacing the concrete roadway on Highway 2 eastbound lanes between Erskine and Fosston as well as Highway 2 westbound lanes in McIntosh. The roadway will be replaced with bituminous pavement. The project also includes sealcoat and four lane to three lane restripe in Fosston which begin late summer, 2022.
