I-94 lane restriction temporarily lifted (tomorrow) Sept. 2-5 for Labor Day weekend
I-94 lane closures resume Sept. 6
Roseville, Minn. – Travelers will get a brief holiday from traffic impacts on I-94 between Oakdale and the St. Croix River.
Beginning around 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, all three eastbound I-94 lanes will temporarily reopen between Woodbury Dr. and the St. Croix River for Labor Day weekend. Motorists traveling through the area will have three lanes in both directions of I-94 through Sept. 5.
Lane closures will resume after the holiday weekend, beginning at 5 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 6, eastbound I-94 will once again be reduced to two lanes between Woodbury Dr. and the St. Croix River through late October for ongoing construction along the road shoulder.
Then at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, westbound I-94 will be reduced to two lanes between the St. Croix River and Woodbury Dr./Keats Ave. N. through 5 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 22 for center median work. There will be no ramp restrictions as part of this work.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. Please plan accordingly and allow more time to reach their destination. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in construction zones where workers are present.
