Hwy 14 paving project completed in southeast Rochester
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Paving work on Highway 14 in southeast Rochester was completed last week and the road is fully open again to traffic from Marion Road east to Chester, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT thanks everyone for their patience while construction work occurred this season to improve the road.
Motorists are now traveling on five miles of newly paved Highway 14, seeing fresh pavement markings and utilizing updated pedestrian areas at intersections. Additionally, crews replaced culverts, which will improve the drainage along and near the highway.
Highway 14 is an important thoroughfare in southeast Rochester, as more than 24,000 drivers and transit users rely on it for commerce and travel to and from work, school and home each day.
