Public invited to meetings Aug. 27 for Highway 10 study from St. Cloud to Haven Township

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend two open house meetings Wednesday, Aug. 27, to learn about a preliminary engineering study for Highway 10 in southeast St. Cloud and Haven Township, Sherburne County.

The study focuses on improving safety and access management along the corridor. MnDOT will present proposed design alternatives and gather public input.
Public meeting details:

  • Noon to 2 p.m. at Harvester Square, 539 E. St. Germain St., St. Cloud
  • 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Haven Town Hall, 4230 45th Ave. SE, St. Cloud

Both meetings will cover the same information. There is no formal presentation, so the public may come and go at their leisure. The project team will be available to answer questions and hear feedback.

The study builds on the 2023 corridor analysis that identified safety and access concerns at key intersections. The Minnesota Legislature has since provided funding to develop design alternatives for the two key intersections of Highway 10 and 15th Avenue SE and Highway 10 and 12th Street SE (Sherburne County Road 7).

Three alternatives are under consideration:

  • No-build option with minor safety and infrastructure improvements
  • Bridge across Highway 10
  • Full interchange with bridge and on-and-off ramps

Additional safety improvements are also being evaluated in the Haven Township area, Teeders Industrial Park, and the County Road 3 (32nd Street SE) area.
