Road work starts Aug. 13 on Highway 108 in Henning
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Starting Wednesday, Aug. 13, weather permitting, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin a pavement preservation project on Highway 108 in Henning.
Crews will begin with replacing catch basins and performing storm sewer repairs at various locations on Highway 108 in Henning. Following the pipe work, starting approximately Aug. 18, weather permitting, crews will begin the “slurry seal,” a method used to preserve the pavement surface. After the slurry seal is done, crews will install temporary striping, and return two to three weeks later for final striping.
All work will take place under traffic, and motorists will encounter daily flagging operations through downtown Henning. Drivers are asked to slow down in the work zone, obey traffic control, and be alert for workers and equipment.
Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change. For more information about the current and future projects on Highway 108 in Henning, visit the project website at mndot.gov/d4/projects/henning.
