Increasing the transparency of how we select highway construction projects

Specialty and competitive programs

Local Partnership Program - MnDOT District 8

Scoring criteria for the local partnership program in district 8. Out of 100 possible points, 40 points are based on regional and community priorities, 20 points are based on mobility and critical connections, 20 points are based on project support and readiness, 10 points are based on system stewardship and asset management, and 10 points are based on safety.

The Local Partnership Program (formerly known as Municipal Agreements or Cooperative Agreements) funds locally identified improvements to state highways, particularly locations where the local transportation network intersects with the state system.

Within each district, cities and counties apply for funding.

MnDOT’s State Aid Division is currently revising the project selection criteria for the Local Partnership Program.
