Ramp closures on I-494 in Bloomington begin Oct. 26 for grading and paving work

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Crews will close the ramp from eastbound Interstate 494 to Lyndale Avenue and the ramp from Interstate 35W to eastbound I-494, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. These closures are necessary for crews to perform grading and paving work along the I-494 corridor.

Starting at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 through November, crews will close the ramp from eastbound I-494 to Lyndale Avenue. During this closure, motorists traveling eastbound on I-494 can use Nicollet Avenue to American Boulevard to Lyndale Avenue as a detour.
Also starting at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 through early December, crews will close the ramp from northbound I-35W ramp to eastbound I-494. Motorists traveling in the area can use eastbound Highway 62 to southbound Highway 77 to eastbound I-494 as a detour.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
