I-90 eastbound on-ramp at Nodine closes May 11 for construction, detour begins
NODINE, Minn. – Motorists who want to enter eastbound Interstate 90 at Winona County Road 12 at Nodine will be detoured beginning May 11 when construction begins on the on-ramp, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
With the eastbound entrance ramp closed, the detour to enter eastbound I-90 is to go west on I-90 to Exit 257 (Highway 76, Houston), cross over and return to eastbound I-90. The detour is approximately 16 miles. Traffic will be detoured through June 19. The other three ramps will remain open.
This work is part of the I-90 construction repaving and bridge replacement project between Nodine and Dakota that began May 4. I-90 is being resurfaced in both directions. Lane closures are in place through late fall.
Another detour will go into effect on May 18. The westbound bridge over Winona County Road 101 will be replaced. Winona County Road 101 will be closed and detoured during the work. Crews will replace the bridge half at a time, while keeping one I-90 lane open. The County Road 101 detour route is: Winona County Road 12 west at Dakota to Dakota Valley Drive east.
