Traffic Impacts
Work will begin on July 28 with constructing crossovers in preparation of the bridge repair work with lane closures in place. Once crossovers are complete, motorists can expect single lane head-to-head traffic on the southbound lanes of I-35. Work is expected to last through October.
There will be short duration closures of the northbound I-35 offramp to 27th Avenue in Duluth on Tuesday, Sept. 9 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for delivery of bridge beams. Closures will be limited to no more than 10 minutes each.
