Summary of work
MnDOT is planning a resurfacing and roadway improvement project in Rochester and High Forest Township. Construction is anticipated for summer 2026.
Work includes:
- Resurface the roadway from east of 44th Ave. SW to Highway 63
- Replace culvert at Willow Creek
- Repair several culverts along the route
- Make other drainage improvements
Traffic impacts
- One lane will be closed while crews work
- Flaggers and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone
- At the end of each workday, both lanes will reopen so traffic can move in both directions overnight
- A detour will take place when the box culvert at Willow Creek is replaced
- The detour will start after Aug. 15 and will be announced through project email updates
