- Construct a left-turn lane (for both north and southbound traffic) at the intersection of Hwy 71 and CR 3 near Svea

A detour will be in place for the duration of the project.
- Vehicles – Hwy 23 to CR 5 to CR 3 to 135th St. to Hwy 23
- Trucks – Hwy 23 to CR 5 to Hwy 7 to Hwy 23

Project updates

Hwy 23 Raymond
- Crews completed ditch work.
- Paving is scheduled for May 29 at both locations, and site preparation is underway to meet the timeline.
- BNSF Railway removed and replaced their railroad infrastructure May 19.
- Milling began May 15 and has been completed.
- Rain impacted work at both locations this past week.
Hwy 71 Svea
- Crews placed sand and gravel to cover the clay in anticipation of forecasted heavy rain showers.
