This will be an open-house style meeting. Attendees will have time to view project boards and maps, speak with project managers, and ask questions.

We will also host a meeting for business owners in partnership with Community and Economic Development Associates (CEDA).

Public meeting, April 6, 2021

MnDOT and the City of LeRoy hosted a public meeting on April 6, 2021, for community members, local businesses and others to review the project. The project management team provided a short presentation, answered questions and took comments.

The meeting was streamed live on the City of LeRoy Facebook page. A recording is also available for people to review.

Business and public meetings, Sept. 22, 2022

Highway 56 September 2022 meeting presentation

MnDOT and the City of LeRoy hosted a business meeting on Sept. 22, 2022, to share news about the project and construction information related to business operations. During the meeting, the MnDOT project manager shared:

  • What trees will be removed before construction and where trees will be replaced
  • The order of construction, beginning first with the western end of the project then moving to the eastern end
  • The planned detour routes
  • Lighting and aesthetic choices made to date

Details are provided in the short presentation and the updated project layout.

People are encouraged to review both and provide questions or comments to the project management team.
