Investment summary

Over the next ten years, District 3 is projected to invest $1.35 billion in state highway projects. The majority of projects will address pavement condition. MnDOT will also address bridge condition, roadside infrastructure (signage, culverts, and lighting), safety improvements, address pedestrian infrastructure that does not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and bicycle infrastructure. District 3 investment peaks in 2022 at roughly $277 million. This includes the US Highway 169 Corridors of Commerce project in Elk River. Investment will roughly fluctuate between $70 and $277 million annually over the next ten years.
